Creating new crochet patterns with granny squares is both fun and easy. The designs you can come up with are just about endless.
In this lesson I will show you how to make the "Sunburst" granny square. Of course you can use any color yarn you want.

Round 1: In Color A, ch 10, sl st in first ch to form a ring, (ch 10, sc into ring) 12 times Fasten off.

Round 2: Attach Color B in any ch -10 loop, ch 3, (2 dc, ch2, 3
dc) in same loop, *3 hdc in each of the next 2 loops, (3 dc, ch 2, 3
dc) in next loop; repeat this from * twice more. Work 3 hdc in each of
the last 2 loops, sl st in third ch of ch-3. Fasten off
