Pinwheel Pot Holder (Approximately 7") MATERIALS: 1 Skein KENTUCKY ALL PURPOSE YARN Crochet Hook size "F" Abbreviations: Sc—Single Crochet; Inc—Increasing; St—Stitch; Ch—Chain; SI St—Slip Stitch |
INSTRUCTIONS: Use single thread; chain 4, join with slip stitch.
Row 1—Make 12 sc in ring.
Row 2—Sc around, inc (2 sc) in every 2nd st
Row 3—Sc around, inc (2 sr) in every 3rd st
Row 4—Sc around, inc (2 sr) in every 4th st
Continue working sc around for desired number of rows, increasing in
same manner. Finish with slip stitch on last row for improved edge.
For double thickness pad, make two pinwheels as above and crochet them
together. Then slip stitch on last row for improved edge.
Hanger: Chain 10 and fasten off.

Chain 21, turn, 20 sc on ch.
Row 2—Ch 1, tarn, sc in each sr to end of row.
Repeat until square is formed. Sc all around edge, increasing three stitches
at corners to turn. Finish with slip stitch on last row for improved edge.
Hanger: Chain 6 and fasten off.

For Mat 16 inches long, chain 70, turn, 69 sr on chain_
Row 2—Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc to end of row.
Row 3—Ch1, turn, sc in each sr to end of row.
Repeat for 22 more rows, making 25 rows in all. Sc all around, inc 3 stitches
at corners to turn. Work a sl st around, using only bark loop of previous row.
Fasten off.
