We recently moved from Jacksonville, Florida to Sevierville, Tn. I have a Yorkie (this is why this pattern caught my eye) and a Pom. I had looked in the stores for sweaters but they looked cheap and all alike.
I had an accident 5 years ago and cut off my index finger at the top joint. I had little to no feeling in it (after they rebuilt it). I just couldn't face the fact I would never crochet again (after over 40 years).
But I asked God to help me and bought one needle, one skein about about two weeks ago. It was hard at first and my stitches looked awful; but I kept at it. Now I have crocheted 3 scarves and 2 hats! I won't said they are the best work I've done; but they are sturdy and no real visible errors show.
So thank you for this dog pattern. May God continue to bless you.
This site has given me a new lease on life.
Marion
PS My next project is going to be a sock monkey. The place where I kept the one skein (next to my chair) would rival a small craft shop. I had never even heard of fun fur and can't wait to try it.
I can't work now - so maybe I could actually sell a few of these sweaters (if that is okay).
Dog dress up
Idea - what about a dog scraf that matches their "mommies" hat and scraf? I actually met a woman the other day who lets her dog pick out its own clothes every morning! Also, I was told another lady dresses her 5 Boston Terriers alike every morning.
For the first time, I feel I might actually be able to make a few dollars. This has made my depression life somewhat and I am beginning to feel like a new person. I can't send a picture because I lost my camera cord in the move.
I would love some emails and support. I have an idea for an afghan, but it would take some work. I hope one day I can share it with you.
Thanks again - Marion

Hi Marion,
I am so happy for you to be able to crochet again. I can only imagine how hard it would be to think that I could never crochet or knit again.
Of course you can sell the the product you make from my patterns. I also agree the items in the stores seem to be lacking a great deal. My girls (dogs) need warmth and not just a cute saying on their clothes. Your ideas are wonderful do go a head and try them.
Also don't forget to sign up for the newsletter as you will find some great ideas on where you can sell your product.
Being we are all pet lovers you may want to check out www.canine-kids.com also.
You may email me anytime and I will do my best to help or try to find the answers you are seeking.
I wish you the best.
