Technique for increasing in knitting
The above is the most basic and common technique for increasing in knitting. When you increase a stitch with this method it forms a neat and invisible increases.
This type of increase is often used in the middle of rows or where a series of increases are needed. You will often come across a term such as “increase 5 stitches across evenly”.
This is often the case when knitting sleeves from the cuff up towards the shoulder.
