Earn extra money at homeas a pattern tester
by: Pam

Hi Cheryl.

I passed several tests sent to me from Jennifer Hansen of StitchDiva.com. She is based in L.A.,CA. Those tests are Very Tough. The hardest part was the gauges! The tests are inter/advanced and it takes time for Jennifer to get back to you, but I am very excited that I was hired by this company.

I get about one project a month which does not add up to a lot of money but I want to knit and crochet anyway. I don't mind getting paid to do that!

I believe I found the contact link on the Q&A page. Something about,"Can I sell the garments I make from your patterns?" There should be a link in that answer.

I feel I have got my foot into the door of the fiber world though just a tiny bit. A cool place to be, I think.

Good Luck!
Pam

p.s. Linda I'm not sure if this information is okay to post here and if not can you please pass on the web site information to Cheryl?

How do you become a pattern tester
by: Cheryl Martin

I was curious how did you become a pattern tester? Is there someone can go to apply if they are interested in doing the same thing.

Thanks,
Cheryl Martin

Ultimate knitting machine
by: Pam

Thank you Linda......for the kind words! It can be very disappointing when a persons dream is slow to grow! I have been thinking that one angle(that seems shameful!) would be to knit or crochet as a service.

In other words, allow the customer to purchase a favorite yarn (some back and forth on how much would be needed) which I'd craft up into simple items and then charge by the yard. Just a thought to toss out there.

I wanted to mention that I have a Bond of America knitting machine. The learning curve is kinda steep but it is fun to work with. Not enough time, time, time! LOL

I also began a blog this past month. It doesn't get to many visits yet but I'm hoping! I can see how I need a web site but money is a problem right now.

Well, everyone have a good day.
Pam
