Knitting for Charity

Knitting for Charity

I am a 51 year old woman who is on disability. There are many times I cannot do physical things to keep myself occupied. But I can always knit or crochet.

I love making things for those I care about. I recently taught my girlfriend to knit and she is so thankful! We both find it incredibly relaxing. Next is to perfect the crochet!

Hello Lori,

So glad to hear from you. I understand what you are saying about good days and bad ones. My daughter is disabled and has the same problem. She has just learned to crochet and has is helping us with our little charity group when she can.

I am working on a very basic knitted baby set and hope to be able to encourage her to give it a try also.

Learning to knit is much more difficult than crocheting so I don't think you will have any problems. I will soon have an ebook online “Learn how to crochet” with step by step instructions and diagrams.

And don't forget you can find lessons on line here at my site.

Happy Knitting,
Linda
