Our homebased business ideas today will be about consignment shops. Now I am going to be honest and tell you I have never sold in a consignment shop.

But some of my friends have and still do for that matter. They are very happy with this selling avenue and refuse to even consider selling any other way.

They tell me they like it because they don’t have to worry about shipping, rent, lights, phone or any other expense other than materials.

By what they say their product is always moving and they have to replace inventory on a regular basis.

The consignment shop takes a percentage of every sale for their income. Some crafters sell only in a shop while others use the shop as just one of their many sales avenues.

For myself I never found the time to create the additional product for a consignment shop but always kept it in the back of my mind. My orders kept me rather busy with shipping, transporting and all. But I do recommend you check into this if it is something that interests you.
