Included are some free Barbie doll patterns or for any 18 inch dolls. You will find patterns for evening to sports wear, dresses, slacks, sweaters and hats. Enough patterns to make an entire wardrobe for that special little girls doll.

Evening Dress Fashion Doll Patterns

Sizes:

Designed to fit Fashion Dolls between 28 - 31(11-12 Inch) in height.

Materials:
4 ply. 25(30-35) g. Pair needles size 3mm (11). 2 press studs.
special abbreviation

Slip marker=make a slip knot in a short length of contrasting yarn and place on needle where indicated. 
On the following rows slip the marker from one needle to the other until the pattern is established and the marker is no longer required.

Skirt

Cast on 30 sts.
1st row: K4, *slip marker (see Special Abbreviation), k7; rep from * to last 5 sts, slip marker, k to end.
Purl 1 row.
Next row (increase): *Knit to marker, yf (to make a st), slip marker, kl, yf; rep from * 3 times more, k to end. 8 sts increased.
Continuing in st st work 7 rows straight. 
Continue to increase 8 sts as before on next and every following 8th row until there are 70(78-86) sts. 
Work 5 rows increasing 1 st at end of last row. 71(79-87) sts.

Commence Pattern
1st row: P1, *yrn, p2tog; rep from * to end. Rep this row until work measures 17(19-21) cms [63/4(71/2-81/4) ins] ending with a right side row. Cast off loosely.

Bodice

With right side of work facing pick up and k29 sts along top edge of Skirt.
Work 3 rows in pattern as given for bottom of Skirt.

Shape Back

Change to st st, starting knit, and cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Next row: K1, sl 1, kl, psso, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, kl.
Next row: Purl.
Rep the last 2 rows until 9 sts remain ending with a purl row. Cast off loosely.

Neckband

Cast on 15 sts loosely. Work 2 rows in pattern as given for bottom of Skirt. Cast off loosely.

Finish
Join back seam leaving 2 cms [3/4 inch] open at top. Sew neckband centrally to top of bodice. Sew 1 press stud in place at waist-band and 1 on neckband.
